Cyril E. King Airport (STT)

Master Plan Update

About the Project

The Cyril E. King Airport (STT) Master Plan Update is one component of the Airport System Master Plan for the US Virgin Islands. The purpose of a Master Plan is to comprehensively study existing Airport elements and evaluate the near- and long-term capacity needs; ultimately arriving at a plan to accommodate demand through the identified planning horizon.

The Master Plan Update is needed to reflect recently constructed facilities, infrastructure needs, recommended operational enhancements, address new environmental and other regulatory constraints, identify improvements to better align with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) airport design standards, and plan for an appropriate mix of land uses to support forecast aviation and non-aviation needs through the 2045 planning horizon. The recent STT Master Plan Update requires additional analyses utilizing more recent post-pandemic information and updated FAA standards.
