What is a Master Plan?
A comprehensive evaluation of existing airport elements, identifying solutions for short-, mid-, and long-term capacity needs, yielding a strategic framework for development to satisfy demand safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Will the Master Plan documentation be publicly available?
- Open House Boards: Digital versions of the presentation boards will be posted online approximately three weeks after each event.
- Final Reports: Both the Executive Summary and the full Master Plan documentation are scheduled for release in the Summer, 2028.
When will projects identified in the Master Plan be implemented?
Projects will be phased over the planning horizon based on demand, specific operational triggers, and funding availability. Before any work begins, each project must secure funding and undergo a rigorous environmental review, such as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), to ensure compliance and community safety.
How is the Airport System Master Plan funded?
The Airport System Master Plan is largely funded by federal grants.
